4. Imagine how they'd look
if they started complaining about some stupid "transgression".

"Waah! Kerry was looking at me"

5. No, Bush will break the rules
He'll talk over Kerry, exceed his time limits, ignore the moderator, and the talking chuckleheads will bemoan all the restrictions that the Kerry campaign insisted on (conveniently forgetting that it was the Bush campaign that forced most of the rules on the "debates"), and praise Bush for showing forceful leadership and how we all needed to let George be George.

Kerry needs to be ready to walk if the moderator can't or won't rein in Lil George.

8. Perhaps . . .
But Kerry needs to be ready to call the moderator to do his job if and when Lil George starts his tantrums. And without a credible threat to leave and a previously made resolve to do so, Kerry won't be able to hold the moderator accountable.

Remember, Kerry isn't allowed to address or question Dear Leader directly. Although Lil George almost certainly will violate this restriction, the moderator will enforce it only one party, and that's Kerry.

I'm just saying that Kerry needs to be ready for a tilted playing field, and decide beforehand how he's going to address it. Mentally, I would suggest that he give the moderator three chances, and if the moderator is not willing to enforce the terms of the memorandum of understanding, Kerry should be prepared to say, "You know, I'm not willing to continue under these blatantly partisan conditions, in violation of the parties' agreement."

7. Kerry ought to break the rules, tell the vierwers that..........
they are complete bullshit and that if bush were a man he would debate in an open forum right then and now. bush would have that deer in the headlights look and not know what to do. Kerry would come off as a decisive leader. IMHO

10. Yup, that would be a show stealer - he should do it.
Really. How would Bush react? Just like he did in the school when he heard about the second 9/11 hit, I bet.

"So I don't worry about, and people shouldn't
worry about a draft. . . I think we're in good
shape, I really do. And, if not, we'll -- I'll address
the nation
. But I don't see any need to right now."
