Veterans for Kerry Barred From Bush Rally

By BRAD CAIN
Associated Press Writer

SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- About 30 Oregon veterans who support Democrat John Kerry for president were rebuffed Tuesday when they showed up at a Republican rally in hopes of delivering a letter to first lady Laura Bush criticizing the war in Iraq.

Bush spoke to about 3,500 of her husband's supporters at Chemeketa Community College here and, as with other Bush-Cheney events in the state, admission was by ticket only and was limited to supporters of the administration....

3. Mannix is horrific
I hate that bastard. But what the hell kind of democracy is this when you can't hear both Presidential candidates? I just don't get how anybody can think they're the keepers of "freedom" when they support people who act like this.

If it was pro bush protestors wanting to attend a Kerry rally, I would kick them to the curb.
