This is why we will win....
Yesterday, I needed to stop by the County Clerks office to take care of some business. While I was there I had them check to see if my voter registration was in order. (It was...) I asked if they had seen an increase in registrations...the guy laughed and said, "We've registered over ten thousand voters in the last month! And they are still coming in. Never seen anything like it, and I've worked here 10 years!" (He also told me the majority are registering as Dems or Inds.)

Folks, this is in a city/county (Santa Fe) of about 135,000 people. Now, I will admit that this is a Democratic area by and large, but it sure looks like the Democrats are going to turn out for Kerry.

This election is all about turning out our voters.

Forget the polls....we will win this thing and take our country back!

2. common sense tells me...
that the same forces that are leading to huge voter registration numbers will also lead to huge turnout on election day.

And a story that has never been told is how huge the turnout was during the dem primaries. Incredible, astounding numbers.

Also, for the three special elections, which btw all were won by dems.

4. As a recent visitor, I'll bet New Mexico goes for Kerry
I traveled all around New Mexico as a tourist for a couple of weeks recently, quietly wearing a Kerry/Edwards button and/or T-shirt and was amazed at the interest and support I encountered. In the airport, on the streets, in stores and restaurants and on the Indian reservations, dozens of people stopped whatever they were doing to speak up about how much we need to elect Kerry and get rid of Bushco. I probably spent an hour or two each day during my travels just listening and talking with people who wanted to vent their feelings. The overwhelming response made my trip especially wonderful.

5. Absolutely!
Remember the record turnouts for the Dem Primaries?
We haven't seen anything yet. There will be a record
number of voters turning out Nov. 2nd and they will be
voting for Kerry.
In any given presidential election, the average voter turnout
has been in the 50% range. That means that nearly 100 Million
didn't vote. The excuses and reasons why could fill a small
book. Mostly, I believe, they just didn't think their vote mattered.
As long as things were going OK it may have seemed that way.

Well, things have NOT been going OK. The war, the economy, the direction of the country is going very badly. I firmly believe, as evidenced
by record Primary turnouts and new voter registrations that
many millions of former non voters will be voting this time.

Kerry in a Landslide!

6. Yahoo has a story on Record Registrations
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040928/ap_on_el_pr/new_voters&cid=694&ncid=1963&sid=96378798

Brunt of the story is that Registration is WAY up in urban areas, running the same in rural areas. That means huge Dem increases.

Also mentions Oklahoma overall regs up, but repukes have a very small edge there. If the Dems are basically keeping up with the Repukes in OK, then I'm confidant that the Dem strongholds will blow Kerry into office.

Don't forget to rate it!

8. HOLD ON PLEASE. "Registered Voters" in poll universe, includes these folk
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 09:57 AM by Raya
It is the reason we are doing relatively better in some of the
battleground states compared with the national Gallup. But it
does not counter national polls of "registered" voters.

We have to find some other thing to explain those polls.

Or we could allways go out
and actually win over voters.
