yes, that image freaked a bunch of people out at Atrios the other day when it filled their screens unexpectedly. Will link when webguy comes out of the mountains, might even put a couple big ones over a freeway or two - I'll send you a picture if I do.
Tell your guerrilla posters that probably the easiest and most effective technique is the "back of the freeway sign on a divided highway". Drive during he day and take note of which freeway signbacks on the other side are most visible, prominent and have reachable lower edges. At night drive back the other way, pull over and quickly post (probably 3M drywall adhesive spray, quick and non-vandalising would work best). Teams of two would allow passenger to jump out, post and jump back in - ten seconds exposure time.
Apart from that, any use of the "easy to see, hard to reach" dynamic works well on the freeways. Hell of a lot of fun too. Stay in touch, good luck, and refer to the "Placement Strategies" page for more:
