Should Kerry contrast and compare Iraq to the former Yugoslavia?
Wasn't this a more complex and dangerous situation than Iraq? NATO, Russia, vs Islam. Roman Catholic vs Eastern Orthodox vs Muslim. Plenty of well trained and armed soldiers on Milosevic's side. Al Quada jumping in to keep the Bosnians from being ethnically cleansed. An extraordinarily complex history of volatility from Alexander to WW1. It seems different choices were made.

2. I don't know, but offhand, I'd say no. Most people don't understand
what went on in former Yugoslavia. But he should know that situation like the back of his hand and be prepared to discuss it, in case * brings it up.

But maybe there is some point to be made about it without getting into complicated matters. I don't know. But we already have Vietnam being discussed instead of Iraq. Do we need another war being discussed, also? I don't know. Maybe so. I'll read the other posts.

3. Most voters do not know that Yugoslavia exists
Too taxing for voters to understand the comparison.

a far better result than this catastrophe. There were very few Americans killed in the Milosevic war because NATO and the UN were heavily involved. While there is still a long long way to go, the internationalness of this solution is proving to be a blessing vs the go it almost alone stategy that has lead to the Iraq catastrophe.
