The Media wants low polls #'s so that Kerry will stop the attacks on Bush
They want Kerry to stop the attack ads and speeches because they are working and Kerry is telling the truth.

I don't think that Kerry should stop.

"Please John if you are reading this don't stop it's a tactic to get you to stop."

1. they want low poll numbers
so that people won't bother to vote. Or to justify black box voting results.

3. You are right
They can't steal the vote unless it looks like Bush could win.

7. seriously,
given the results of the 2000 election, there is no way that Bush is ahead. None. No one voting for Gore four years ago will vote for Bush. Nader will get less than 1 percent this time, and some of those votes will be Republicans. Where is Bush going to get new voters? He sure as hell will be losing them. He has alienated nearly everyone. The only way the Republicans can win this election is to steal it.

2. Remember
campaigns have their own internal polls. Their polls dig deeper than the media polls, which are often done on the cheap. They know what's working and what's not.

6. Like Deep Throat said
'you've got people feeling sorry for Haldemann, I didnt think that was POSSIBLE'

Take out Haldemann, insert *

I am seriously getting the frightening numbing feeling that people will vote for this asshat because they feel SORRY for him! Is there something in the frickin WATER in this country?? I have internet friends in other countries and they think we are ALL certifiably insane! That Kerry should be a slam dunk, I try to explain the polling and the media, but they are still asking how it is that the "other guy" got more votes but * is pResident...oy, you cant explain electoral college, cheating, & supremes to some foreigners.

11. I think Rove is lying - I would say that every evangelical that could
get out of the house voted - if they send millions and millions to Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell and it is free to vote and they hated Clinton so much and they wanted that honor and integrity and born again son of a former P in the WH - we can be sure they made the effort. They could not stand Gore because he and we are LIBERAL.

I also say they only make up about 27 - 37 % with others coming from the pearl neclaced and suit and tie'd republicans, CEOs, military. If you can believe that these passionate people did not vote in 2000, I'll praise Rove for not lying again.

12. They're trying to discourage us from registering more voters
They're trying to pump up their blustering fascist base. They're trying to keep business leaders from backchanneling to the Kerry campaign. They're scared and have a lot of money.
