2. My dear Amerigo Vespucci!
I am very strongly tempted to "un-rec" your thread!

But, since I don't believe in it, I won't...

7. No.
The position of president if probably the most criticized of any in politics. GWB deserved the criticism. He was a failure.

Prescott's already down there. Along with his buddy Adolf, and all the pawns, stooges, and associates who have since left this mortal coil (Nixon, Reagan, Jack Ruby, Osama, etc.)

16. Bush: "As you know, I inherited a recession"...
I don't recall the actual quote, and I'm too damned lazy to Google it, but DUers know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Bush claimed over and over and over again that Big Dog handed him a steaming pile on his way out the door.

And President Obama...a man who knowingly and willingly accepted Bush's hand-off...

...well, that's the difference between a "zero" and a "hero," isn't it?

President Obama's lasting legacy will be that he relentlessly sought the job in spite of the track record of his predecessor, not because of it.

17. And that's excactly the reaction I wanted when I posted this.
:patriot:

The post, for people who haven't figured it out yet, is a raised middle finger to the "Obama hasn't done enough" crowd.

Anyone who feels that President Obama hasn't done enough in his first 10 months needs to carefully examine EIGHT YEARS of George W. Bush.

you weren't paying attention. We'll be cleaning up after the Bush /Reagan axis of evil for generations.

Gotta say that I'm stunned over the fact that the irony of this post slipped through the cracks.

I'm guessing it's due to the fact that people who have missed the irony aren't that familiar with my tenure on DU.

That's fair.

But anyone who seriously believes that I was asking if we were too tough on Bush...

...are you fucking kidding me? I guess the photo I included in my original post wasn't a big clue. The asshole's hoisting a drink. GET IT?

how deep my dislike is for just this ONE man! I won't even begin, but he brings out the very WORST in me should I even begin!

And even THAT I hold against him because I really don't WANT to have such overwhelmingly horrible thoughts about ANYONE!!
