Because I will.

I have a say in this and i helped him get elected. And the man I voted for and volunteered for knows this and respects it.

Make him do what he wants to do. And make our congresspeople do it as well.

1. But if Obama won't fight for it, we won't get a public option
Even if he does fight for it, it won't be easy to get it through the Senate.

2. It wasn't supposed to be easy,
and if WE don't fight for it, WE won't get a public option.
I actually think that it depends more on the citizens of this country,
at this point then it does the President.

7. That must explain the escalation in Afghanistan.
We're all fighting for it.

3. Obama needs to say just one thing to Congress

"If you send me a shitty bill without a true public option, I will veto it.
And since you fucking cowards can't even get 60 votes among yourselves to do
what's right, you damn sure won't get 67 to do what's wrong and override it."

4. Haha... if he does that, I'll breathe a sigh of relief.
I'm waiting to see if I can breathe a sigh of relief.

@4:21 on the video (at link)

Any plan I sign must include an insurance exchange: a one-stop shopping marketplace where you can compare the benefits, cost and track records of a variety of plans - including a public option to increase competition and keep insurance companies honest - and choose what's best for your family.

6. Nice, but I have this sneaking suspicion that Obama's insistence carries more weight than yours. nt
