In regards to Senator Evan Bayh... I will not help campaign for his re-election in 2010 AND
I will make sure that he does not get the nomination for President or VP in the future.

I will make sure that everyone knows what an inept person he is in politics. Also, his conflict of interest through his wife.

Why? Because he doesn't have any balls when it comes to real issues. He sits on the fence and is too scared to get off and stand up.

Evan Bayh's dad Birch should be ashamed that he raised such a sissy boy. Birch was a better Democrat when he was Senator.

1. Thank you. I am old enough to remember Birch Bayh
and I shudder when I think of Evan.

2. When is Evan up for re-election?
Start working on that email. Then send it to everyone in your contacts and ask them to pass it on. I think I would send a copy to Evan too. You wouldn't want him to miss all the fun.

3. Last year when it was being rumored that he
would be the VP candidate, I was sick to my stomach at the thought.

Any chance of him having a primary challenger? I would contribute.

4. Oh, I think you misunderestimate Mr Bayh
As a long time Hoosier, recently expatriated, I think Mr Bayh is a very ept politician. He can ride that fence better than just about anyone, even more than the other "blue dogs".

The only way to defeat the blue dogs is thru the DNC. The DLC is a good ole boys' club. They don't care about ideology, just personality and money.

You want to beat Bayh? Do what the RNC would do... pull all his support from the DNC and leave him to his own resources. Look what they did to Chafee when he didn't tow the line. They felt it's better to give up the seat. Makes the others sit up and take notice.

Look at the message the DLC sent to Lamont -- and the rest of us.

Better to have your enemy in front of you.

10. I didn't say I wanted him defeated for Senator next year.
But that I would not campaign for him next year. And I would campaign against him if he was ever considered for President or VP.

I want him to win only because there isn't anyone else in Indiana.

As for the voting part of it. I will not vote for him or his Republican challenger in 2010. I don't want him to lose his Senate seat but I do want the margin of his win to be much slimmer. To scare the hell out of him.

If he doesn't come out fully in support of several key issues he will lose a sizeable chunk of the votes that he relies on. There is a reliable source of support that has indicated their doubts about Bayh. Whether they follow through needs to be seen. But if nothing else at least one pocket in the state may be less than favorable for Bayh.

9. Good!
I will go even further.

The Left should organize nationally to support a progressive challenger in 2010.
I will contribute.

11. K & R from a fellow Hoosier!
:hi:

Of course, Bayh is more or less a typical Hoosier Democrat (with the exception of Andre Carson)- which is to say, virtually indistinguishable from a Republican on most issues, at least as far as I can tell. I will probably hold my nose and vote for him next year because I don't want a REAL Republican representing us in the Senate (and he is not vulnerable anyway) but I've been pretty disappointed in him as a US Senator- not so much that he doesn't always vote with the party and President Obama but that he FLAUNTS it so much. I think that part of that, of course, is that this IS, well.....Indiana but then again Indiana actually went BLUE last year and helped elect Obama, so I don't know why he feels like he has to take such a hard line against President Obama, particularly since he's actually considered "liberal" by the wingnuts in the state anyway (it's true!!!).

But I totally agree with you. I don't want to see him as POTUS or VP EVER!!!!
