Advertisers Dumping Glenn Beck After Racist Comments

Media Matters: Three companies who run ads during Glenn Beck -- NexisLexis-owned Lawyers.com, Proctor & Gamble and Progressive Insurance -- today distanced themselves from Beck. LexisNexis has pulled its advertising from Beck and says it has no plans to advertise on the program in the future. Both Proctor & Gamble and Progressive Insurance called the Beck advertising placements an error that they would correct.

Update: Video of Beck joking about poisoning Pelosi.

9. Although for a company like "Progressive" to get boycotted by progressives...
Edited on Thu Aug-06-09 09:14 PM by cascadiance
... in order to keep a "conservative" ad customer like Glen Beck where his viewers would probably take umbrage from getting insurance from a company with that name seems messed up. It seems like sooner or later that "marriage" was going to fail.

Though I have to say that the commercials by that company make me as ill watching them as any others, as I believe that their name has nothing to do with their philosophy on thing, and is just a marketing spiel...
