Large Pro-Healthcare Reform Rally - July 30th - No Mention Of Rally In The News!
Is it just a coincidence that rallies and speakers who are critical of healthcare reform on BOTH the left and right are heavily featured by the media, but pro-healthcare reform rallies are ignored?

Here is the latest example yesterday, which is notable because it had several Representatives and Senators speaking, yet there is absolutely no coverage of this rally. When you see the youtube clip, they pan to the audience, which appears to have at least several hundred in attendance.

Yet, the lack of coverage is incredible given the speakers at the event.

So, do we once again attack the left for their poor media strategy or do we accept that the deck is stacked against us, and only by using alternative media, such as youtube in this case, will the word get out?

1. No coincidence at all

The for-profit healthcare sector is a large source of advertising revenues for the national media.

2. Yet, Many Progressives Blame The Obama Administration For The Slanted Coverage
Look at the article posted by Better Believe It, which rips on President Obama's efforts to sell his healthcare reform package. You read that article, and it would suggest that it is a piece of cake to sell healthcare reform. My take is that if we were playing on a level playing field, it might be easier, but we are not.

3. And the flip side of this
I have a feeling that the real reason the Blue Cross "democrats" and admitted Repukes wanted the health care issue delayed until September, is that the reich wing and compliant corporate media are planning to hype the Hell out of the 9/12 Teabagger rally, which will be marketed as a "massive turnout against soshaliezed medisun !!!1111!!"

This will allow the cowards to make the false claim that "the people" don't want health care reform of any kind, let alone single payer.
