If the President wants to grab the bully pulpit for Health Care, then it's time for....
him to show up on

Probably would reach an audience larger than doing a Press Conference.
Then he could also have regular citizens with stories to tell
show up and actually be part of the show, and MSNBC/CNN/Fox couldn't
cut them out of the footage, like they usually do.

Bet the Media's talking pundit heads would explode simultaneously
on hearing that news!

Just sayin'!

1. Absolutely agree. Also, although I don't have any stats to back this
up, I'm thinking women are the ones in many/most homes that make these decisions. Even if they don't they're getting information to pass on. Great idea..

2. Oprah has been quite a good venue for very important issues.....
and bringing them in a positive manner to mainstream America
including Gay Adoption and Gay Marriage.

I think he might take ribbing from the talking heads,
but it may be worth it.

8. What part of Bully pulpit do you not understand?
He's already debated his health care policies....
both in the primaries and in the general election.....
and his health care ideas are really still pretty much the same.

There was an election you know....
We Won!

Get over it.

12. We don't really have a clue what Obama is prepared to accept as "health care reform" or not, and
Oprah sure wouldn't drag it out of him. A hard hitting celebrity interviewer, she is not.

5. Why not. It is time to counter the lies that the GOP and the media are spreading,
concerning the fact that a public insurance is worse than a private insurance and other BS.

6. After we get both bills into conference committee
and then he can go on Oprah when you need support for the final details. I don't think it's time for Oprah just yet.

10. You are most likely correct.
He needs to come out there during the reconciliation process.....to push his ideal bill based on what both plans have in them.
