58% is still pretty good, though.

1. It's low because he's lost support of gay rights supporters.
He can gain it back if he does the right thing on DADT and DOMA.

2. I think it's more because the media has intensified its attacks
The lies and distortions have been numerous as of late.

6. If you read the article, you will see that Democratic support went UP from 88% to 92%.
It was Independent and Republican support that dropped.

11. As angry as the dem base seem to have been at Obama lately I would
have thought his support among the base would have slipped which would have caused Obama to pay a little more attention to his base. The MSM and their Polls wouldn't want to see that so they make their polls show support among dems is up and support among moderates and conservatives is down so that means Obama will govern even more to the center and right.

7. His support among Dems is up. The problem is the Republican war against healthcare. nt

Edited on Fri Jun-19-09 04:20 PM by asphalt.jungle
4 different occasions it was 59%:
6/7-9/09
4/6-8/09
3/28-30/09
2/21-23/09

whose support did he supposedly lose in mass then?

8. Gallup Suggests AMA Wins Versus Obama On Healthcare
Edited on Fri Jun-19-09 04:42 PM by TomCADem
The population trusts doctors more than President Obama. Thus, if the AMA is against a public optio or single payer, it ain't gonna happen. Who do you trust?

9. Kind of a flawed assumption
I dunno. I would think most people would say they trust their doctors when it comes to healthcare. Most people assume doctors and healthcare professionals know about healthcare. But 58 percent for President Obama seems pretty damn good to me. I find it much more damning, frankly, that people trust pharmaceutical companies and health insurance companies over the GOP. Yowch! That's gonna leave a mark!

10. Not a surprise. With gas prices.
People tend to blame the President.
