Regarding the 60th anniversary of D-Day.
My husband and I were just having a conversation about how much our current president is bringing to light the events on Omaha Beach 65 years ago. I was so touched and moved. He reminded us that to honor our veterans goes so much further than to just thank them for their service, he asked us all to take up service in large and small deeds to stop evil. He said that everything we all do effects all of us, and I believe this to be true. But I digress... (I do that!)

I asked him, what did the previous resident do for the 60th anniversary? I cannot for the life of me remember. I could be perhaps that I was very involved with the upcoming election, or any number of things.

Did *ush ever go there for that important anniversary? I admit, I just did a lame google search, and found nothing -- I hope that my suspicions are wrong about this. Today was magnificant, Not just from our president, but from all.

(now if only we could get Gordon Brown to iron his suit!)

2. Thank you.
So, either I was not paying attention or it was just something that failed to grab me as it did this year.

I could be me. Or not.
