Wow what a natural beauty she is. Isn't it kind of nice to see a pretty young woman who doesn't do all the Miss CA type stuff (fake tan, boobs, extentions, etc.) Maybe it's just because I live in LA but I'm sick of people looking like either a total unmade bed or a plastic maniquin! And that goes for the guys too!

#4 is a good picture of them both--the look of respectful awe on both their faces says a lot about them (I'm assuming they were touring some ruins or perhaps an ancient mosque or church). Bush would have been smirking and making dumb jokes about how they don't build 'em like they used ta, or something like that.

The State Department had a thing where you could register to receive text messages in Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and English http://www.america.gov/sms/html. Then they posted some of the responses. The State Department is doing a lot of cool things.

10. Obama in Egypt

I'm so high on Obama today - so proud of him for the frankness, grasp, and intelligence of his Cairo speech today. I think the thing about him is that due to being a grownup himself, he has the effect of making those around him reach, similarly. I think of Hillary at the Dem Convention; certain world leaders; the heads of some US industries - those in auto and health care. We will see where it goes from here, but so far, it's extraordinary.
