Heard Ted Rall on a rightwing radio show yesterday
As long as Obama has "friends" on the left like him, who needs the real enemy?

2. Can you please give a little more detail?
Instead of a hit and run. how about filling-in your OP with just a hint of substance of what you heard.

Thanks. :hi:

4. sure
Apparently he was on for a whole hour. I caught about 20 minutes of it. Here are some arguable points that stuck with me:

* Obama should resign for trying to keep the auto industry afloat
* Obama is well to the right of Bill Clinton and he "fooled" progressives in the election.

It was really no more or no less than some of the shit slung in this forum all day.

11. wow, those are two conflicting points.
someone to the right of bill clinton wouldn't attempt to save the auto industry with govt intervention.

15. Ted Rall has a lot of attitude and artistic talent.
He doesn't do a lot of research, and he's not real interested in the rationality of his arguments.

Political cartoonists in general are struggling to keep food on the table. I imagine that Rall -- being purposefully inflammatory -- is in even greater trouble. More power to him for find a way to get a steady income. But, everyone should be forewarned about giving his opinions a lot of weight.

12. Yeah....
The birthers and other Obama haters are kissing Ted's ass to make it look like every Obama supporter is suffering "buyer's remorse". And Ted is letting them.

All because Ted has his panties in a knot because Obama isn't as far left as Ted wants. So he's letting himself be used by the far RIGHT instead.

Idiot

16. Do you have any idea how painful it is to expel a mouthful of Diet Coke out one's nose?
I now know, thanks to your wonderfully snarky comment.

(Is Diet Coke a neurotoxin? It's certainly hard on the membranes in my nose.)

7. He does no service to the genuine concerns of leftists with his "style."

I don't want Obama to resign. I do think he should change course on a number of issues. I'm never sure what people like Ted Rall think they are accomplishing by writing in such a way that will only piss off anyone who doesn't already agree.

I'll go a long way with someone in conversation as long as they can stick to the issues and treat me with respect, even if they disagree or make good points against my ideas. But Tell Rall is one of those guys who, when challenged by someone who starts off respectful and sticking to the issues, will simply start calling the person blind or a whore for the establishment or some other sort of insult or logically fallacious cheap trick.

I hate that.

18. Probably something like this:
This guy makes Bill Clinton look like a paragon of integrity and follow-through...Obama is useless. Worse than that, he’s dangerous. Which is why, if he has any patriotism left after the thousands of meetings he has sat through with corporate contributors, blood-sucking lobbyists and corrupt politicians, he ought to step down now — before he drags us further into the abyss.

(snip)

Obama is cute. He is charming. But there is something rotten inside him. Unlike the Republicans who backed George W. Bush, I won’t follow a terrible leader just because I voted for him. Obama has revealed himself. He is a monster, and he should remove himself from power.

http://www.sj-r.com/opinions/x124603932/Ted-Rall-It-s-increasingly-evident-that-Obama-should-resign

Rall is like a less masculine Ann Coulter, only he's from the insane left and not the insane right.
