Reapportionment, Reapportionment, Reapportionment, Reapportionment,
That should be the rally cry of every dem in every state across the country.

One of the main reasons behind the GOP taking over the House in 1994 was because they made strong bids to control the redrawing of the congressional districts in the 1990 election.

The districts were drawn, for the first time in decades, by GOP controlled Reapportionment Boards in the South and the West.

This was the first step.

They took so many seats in 1992 that they were within striking distance in 1994. Several longtime democrats gave up the fight in 1994 and simply let the inevitable play out. They knew they couldn't win in the new seats that were drawn by GOP operatives.

The GOP are acting like buffoons on the national stage but I bet your bottom dollar they are quietly setting the stage to recapture the House in 2012 by capturing as many Reapportionment Boards as possible.

Folks, pay close attention to your states redistricting process and don't let the GOP take control again.

3. Brunner is giving up a seat on the board
in order to mount a quixotic run for the Senate. The Auditor and the Gov are the other two executive seats. There is one GOP legislator and one Dem.

The Auditor is going to be tough. A popular Jewish GOP state rep here in Cuyahoga County from Shaker Heights could very well win the seat by chipping away in this overwhelmingly democratic county.
