Viggo Mortensen (aka Aragorn) is being mentioned as a potential Democratic candidate in NY-23 special election. Orcs beware!

wow...that would actually be kind of cool. From what I've read, he's very politically progressive.

6. Weird but possible....
"Mortensen and his father eventually went back to the United States, where Mortensen graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, New York. After high school, he returned to Denmark and became a truck driver in Esbjerg, Denmark, before again returning to the United States to pursue an acting career. He attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, earning a bachelor's degree in Spanish"

From Wiki.

A some what but not quite hometown boy... So there are loose ties.

About like <ducks>Tom Cruise<covers> running for the NY 25th.

7. I live in NY-23...
I kinda doubt if he will run.

What will happen is, the very corrupt downstate gop machine will hand pick mcshithead's successor and all of those ignorant a-holes will vote it in...

8. We Wants it, We Needs it. Must Have the Precious
And to quote Samwise Gamgee...

"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for."

12. I can hear his acceptance speech now...
Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you *stand, Men of the West!*
