Thanks to DU, my painting is now famous. That's right, some time back I posted HERE a painting of OBAMA that I did.
HERE on DU, I sold about 2 dozen copies of it. And so because you guys liked my painting so much, I put it on my blog
and then this NYTIMES reporter interviewed me.

yes, it's archival paper, fine art giclees. They're probably better than originals because the ink is waterproof!

I remember your first post about it, something like "check out the painting I did".

I didn't know a thing about you or your work, and I remember before clicking on it, thinking "oh, it's probably going to be a nice amateur effort" and then being VERY surprised at both the accuracy of the image AND the emotion it elicited. "Wow - that picture makes you look at the subject a little differently". Looks like a professional portrait.

You captured the gravitas and thoughtfulness that I think people in this country saw and (whether consciously or unconsiously) motivated them to vote for him, especially after that goony doofus we had to deal with for 8 years. Not easy to get down on paper. Definitely the best of the images in the NYT article.
