The Party of NO ... Shame. :: GOP goes after the Obamas' date night in NYC

GOP goes after the Obama's date night in NYC
by Michael O'Brien

The Republican National Committee (RNC) went after President and Mrs. Obama's date night, contrasting their trip to New York City Saturday evening with Americans' economic struggles.

"As President Obama prepares to wing into Manhattan's theater district on Air Force One to take in a Broadway show, GM is preparing to file bankruptcy and families across America continue to struggle to pay their bills," RNC spokeswoman Gail Gitcho wrote to reporters.

"Have a great Saturday evening — even if you're not jetting off somewhere at taxpayer expense," she added.

The president and first lady had announced they will take a smaller VIP jet under military command to minimize the costs of the flight to New York this evening.

The administration had come under fire before for the trip of an Air Force One plane over Manhattan for promotional pictures, a trip which sparked questions about security and the cost of the trip.

The RNC dredged up that comparison as well, adding a clip to Obama's joke before the White House Correspondents' Association dinner about the First Daughters, Sasha and Malia, having been grounded for taking the plane for a "joyride" in that instance.

10. Not to mention Reagan, the previous record holder for vacation time...
and probably STILL the record holder for most jet fuel wasted. You see, instead of vacations in Texas, his vacations were all the way out in fucking California. Literally a coast to coast flight from D.C.

It would be humorous to note that this is all they've got if it weren't so pathetic and predictable. President Obama is cleaning up your mess, Republican'ts. Goddamned right he's taking our First Lady to NYC to have a night on the town and the GOP can both Fuck off and Suck on it for all I care.
