Poll question: Looking back at the Obama administration
In 2013 or 2017, Obama will pass the baton to a new president.

What do you expect will be a progressive's grading of the Obama's presidency?

2. ask again in 2013 or 2017.
No way to tell what's coming yet, or what challenges he will face. And ask also if any real world alternative would have been graded higher or lower too while you're at it. Last time around realistic chances for winning the presidency were limited to Clinton, Obama, McCain, and Romney. No idea who will be in with a chance in 2012 but no evidence there is likely to be a serious challenge to Obama on the Dem side so far.

3. For (probably) blowing the best chance for real, significant, liberal progress while making

minor progress on peripheral issues, he gets a "D."

Now, if he is really smarter than all of us and checkmates the enemy into oblivion and irrelevance,

AND

actually enacts a liberal agenda, he can easily move up to an "A."

But if he continues to move rightward and compromises everything away to the pukes, an "F" will be too generous a grade.

The future is not written, but the tea leaves are not promising.

Obama could EASILY be a one termer if the economy is still in the dolrums- despite all the pandering to the banksters- if the wars are still quagmnires, if no one's held to account- and the Dems keep selling ordinary Americans down the river.

7. Why does it have to be a "progressives" grade instead of a "Democrats" grade?
