I voted for him in my first election. Too young to vote for him for Governor or his first term as POTUS.

5. Carter himself admitted he'd made the mistake of not trying to get along
with the folks in the House and Senate--that's why his Presidency wasn't as successful as he'd wanted.

It takes a big person to admit such mistakes.

10. they were their nasty republican selves
mocking him and his family and his values. He wasn't nasy enough for the Lee Atwaters and Karl Roves of the repuklicans. But he is a statesman and it good to see his influence today.
