I am watching Glenn Beck right now and these poor people are completely brainwashed

I just sat through watching an African American woman saying how she had to work two jobs to make ends meet. How she struggles and that the government needs to stop TAXING her so she can get by. She also said that the private sector (big business) is so much better at taking care of the American people than the government is.

I don't get it. I don't get how someone can go through life and believe a complete lie. The truth of it is everywhere. How does she not see that she is getting her taxes cut.

Someone explain to me, I don't get it. She is obviously on a TV show, she has to watch TV. Don't these people see that Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh etc... are getting these poor slobs to stand up for them and their personal pocket books at the expense of their own.

People are pissed about taxes because our representatives spend them foolishly. Well, who's fault is that? How many letters has this woman written to her senators & reps? I can recall twice in the past four years when the media reported that so many people were calling into their reps & the lines were ringing off the hook. This should be a common occurrence, not twice every four years! Democracy is a participatory government & if you don't participate - vote & communicate to your reps how you feel on the issues - then you end up in the mess we're in.
