I have a feeling he'll be just as good as Casey now that he's free from the Repukes - could be more liberal, but I want the 60 votes foremost.

2. I agree. People need to relax and let this play out.
If he begins voting with the Democrats on nearly every issue, specifically proposals from Pres. Obama, he'll work just fine.

6. I don't like Spector's record, but..
It's great PR for the Dems and a nightmare for the GOP. Having a long time republican like Spector switch parties is big news and it just makes the GOP look like a bunch of closed minded, partisan hacks who refuse to at least try and work with the other side. I guess we should give Spector a shot, if he votes the party line on major issues I could tolerate him if he's able to bring in moderate republicans and independents.
