Great speech so far... he's in his best professorial role discussing the history of American energy production.

4. With so many billions geared towards retraining workers for green industries, it sure is.

I hope President Obama's vision for a green and prosperous future sparks an investment trend among private sources like
VCs. Anyway, his speech is over and I think he's wrapped up the 2012 Iowa caucuses early. ;)

6. Yes, and Iowa feels justifiable pride.

I can't wait to go back there to work with Team O again. It was a blast working our butts off during 2007-2008. Never got enough
sleep but the party at the end was worth it. Maybe in 2011, Obama DUers can make plans to collectively work there the same week/
weekend and celebrate.

7. Well, a belated Thank you,
in helping out there in the 2007-2008 political fight of our lives!

Are you talking about helping out in the General Election in Iowa in 2012? :)

I was referring to helping to organize the Iowa caucuses, although this time, it won't be nearly as much of an internecine slog. ;)

9. See, I thought
Prez Obama wouldn't have to go through all that again for his re-election but I guess he needs to get out there during the Primaries because we know the repukes and the cmwhores will be lyin' and smearin' every chance they get.

10. Oh, yeah, he'll definitely have to campaign there for the reasons you mentioned and...

... because Iowans expect it as their due. It's not pretty when candidates diss Iowans (see Clinton and McCain).

The Obamas will no doubt enjoy every minute, especially since the pace of campaigning won't be as frenetic due to his popular
incumbency. Team O has a special place for Iowans in their hearts, so the feeling of political homecoming will be palpable. I
know I'm looking forward to it already. :)
