Anyone see the Sarah Palin speech at the anti-abortion event?
(sorry, I know prosecutions are the main topic, and rightfully so. But I just saw a tiny clip of the speech on AC360, and it cracked me up).

Candy Crowley declared that Sarah Palin "rocked the house". She did add though that that particular crowd probably wouldn't have cared WHAT she said. Well, probably right on that, heh. It was just so funny because she says the most simple talking points like they are the most profound thing in the world. She talked about the stimulus in this speech in her special little way. "States will REALIZE......this is NOT FREE MONEY! Maybe they will realize this is money with STRINGS ATTACHED! That we are getting.....FROM CHIIIINA!"

They only showed a tiny little clip, but really, it just made me laugh. A lighter moment/distraction from today's discussions. I can't believe that she is considered the GOP's great hope.

2. My 9-year-old daughter saw a clip on today's news w/Sarah Palin...
...and literally said, verbatim..."Oh no...not HER again"....

(She says that about the octomom too!)

:applause:

4. Did she take the opportunity to bash Levi again?
Or is she saving that for the Maury show?

5. she sounds patronizing nearly every time she speaks
Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 10:51 PM by ErinBerin84
She has that "scolding" tone, just LIKE in the Levi statements. I also read a statement she put out saying that she didn't realize the legislature would need her there in Alaska to "hold their hands" (in response to criticism about her going out of town). Even when it's supposed to be a positive speech for her, she is always on the defensive.

9. Sounds like CNN still loves her. Remember they basically played all of her speeches?
They were obsessed with her. Now the campaign is over. And they are still following some crazy Governor from Alaska

11. I remember
that CNN went live at like 10 or 11 to show Palin returning to Alaska once...during the campaign (I think this was when she had to go home for a couple of weeks for troopergate stuff). It was ridiculous, they kept it on so long, I wanted the news.

10. Oh crap--is China rearing its ugly head over Alaska, now?
I bet she can see Beijing from her house.

12. I don't find anything even
mildly amusing about Palin (or Crowley for that matter). After 8 nightmarish years of Bush, I've sadly come to believe that anything can happen in this country and that Palin, foolish and bufoonish as she is/seems, should certainly not be discounted nor sniggered at.
