Your feedback needed for Obama's second regional health care forum
Edited on Thu Apr-02-09 08:30 PM by eridani
Health Care Advocates,

Below is an email from Governor Gregoire regarding a regional health reform forum in Los Angeles, which the Governor will attend. She includes a website,

http://www.healthreform.gov/regionalhealthforum.html for submitting questions to President Barack Obama for the forum on April 6th. Please go to the website and submit your question on health reform. I'm going to do that right now.

Edited to fix link

6. California health care activists are planning to be out in force
Edited on Fri Apr-03-09 04:00 AM by eridani
Help us Rally California (and Washington) for true health care reform:

In California and in Washington, D.C., public demand for single payer, publicly financed health care continues to explode.

If you can, bring your friends and join the RALLY AND PRESS CONFERENCE THIS MONDAY (APRIL 6) outside of the White House Forum on Healthcare Reform in downtown Los Angeles. The Rally calls for lawmakers to put Single-Payer and HR 676 legislation "on the table" this year.

The fully-booked Forum itself will be held at The California Endowment, 1000 N. Alameda St, about 2 blocks north of Union Station. But the Rally and Press Conference starts at 9:00 a.m. at Main St. and Alameda and you should be there by 8:30 AM. It's best to take the Subway to Union Station; MTA.net for info. We've been advised that there should be free parking available at 1245 Spring Street, two blocks North of the Rally.

This rally has been organized by the School Employees Association (CSEA) and the California Nurses Association (CNA), supported by Health Care for All-California chapters and the OneCareNow Campaign, SoCal ADA, Progressive Democrats, California Physicians Alliance (CaPA), other Democratic clubs, and many other organizations.

And tell Washington that you favor a Public Insurance Option:
If you can't make the Rally, you can let Washington know you know why the Public Insurance Option must be included. Click Here to add your support to a new initiative sponsored by MoveOn and Dr. Howard Dean. It takes just one click to make your voice heard!

And thanks for your continued support.
George Savage
