According to Chris Matthews, Obama has no heart, only intellect!
:wtf:

Just said in reading a Woodrow Wilson quote that great leaders lead based on impulse passed on to him by the people. And so if Obama doesn't believe that 90% tax on bonus is constitutional (and it won't pass the senate anyways), this means he is not connected to the people with the pitchforks.

Chris Matthews gets paid 5 million dollars a year for this? Wonder if he gets a bonus!

1. The people aren't buying this bullshit from MSM
and I doubt the majority of Americans agree with taxing these bonuses

2. Does Matthews really get paid that much? Damn, where do I apply?
President Obama probably has to much heart actually, and I hope it doesn't get him in trouble!

3. I am really getting sick of the potshots both here and on the MSM.
The guy has been in office for 2 months and 3 days and he faces the worst mess in American history. If he keeps his head on his shoulders, he has no heart. If he laughs, he is not serious enough for the crisis we face. We have all these folks here and in the MSM who are bitching and moaning but I have not seen any of them come up with anything that even approximates a reasonable alternative plan.

And now we have some bimbo calling them trash in the Whitehouse? Give me a break.

4. I agree with you and my sentiments exactly.
It is really tiresome to hear the MSM, rethugs and Democrats trash him at every turn. The guy is trying to do his best according to the mess he found.

I am sick with these people already.!

Edited on Mon Mar-23-09 06:10 PM by AllentownJake
If he thinks a bill is unconstitutional he should not sign it regardless of whether he agrees with the premise behind it or the political implications.

It's called Integrity. Chris should look that word up.

That's beyond stupid.

This punitive tax bill should be vetoed and legal and logical means should be found to punish AIG and any others in similar positions.

I am really tired of him trying to start a meme.

I've been turning him off more and more lately.

34. No....
when children have to endure the pain of never knowing their father; he can't quite imagine.

When a single mother has to use food stamps to buy their children food; he couldn't possibly feel what that could be like!

When people in Africa are dying by the thousands of Aids everyday; he has no reason to relate.

when a young college graduate has to face a mountain of student loans; how could he have a clue?

When a parent has to fight insurance company from a death bed while suffering from cancer; How could he understand the pain of their loved one who feel powerless?

When minorities are descriminated against; How could he quite grasp what that really means?

When poor people living in lead painted crumbling housing feel dispair; how could he know how to empathize with that?

How can he understand grandparents having to take of their grandchildren in a 2 room rented apartment and the hardship that it brings to those ageing grandparents?

How could he understand those facing life being seen as different from others? How could he know?

:sarcasm:

31. That just affirms my reasons for not watching Tweety much.
He is so often so stridently off base. He'll pick one detail and grab a theory and keep hammering at it even if 10 guests give excellent comments to the contrary.

Obama has a lot of heart and compassion.

He is definitely connected to the people with the pitchforks. Specifically, in his 60 Minutes interview, he recommended that the Wall Streeters whining about their bonuses take some time to travel to Iowa and other states to see how their actions have affected people across America. People with whom Obama has already spent a lot of time.

32. Tweety is ridiculous...
For 8 years we had an administration that stoked the fears of the American people after 9/11 for political gain. Perhaps Tweety is too use to that treatment and doesn't understand why Obama won't do the same with the current economic challenge.

No, we won't see President Obama foaming at the mouth while railing against the evil finance doers. We won't see him torturing the boneheaded execs or encouraging violence on this group of people. We're just going to have to be satisfied knowing that he's working long hours to try to actually fix this problem. Why? Because he has both heart and intellect. It's a maturity thing.

not so much an accusation.

The President does his thinking with his brain and the heart takes a backseat. I'm really good with that. We have no need of another "gut driven" Presidency.
