Enough of the pussy-footing around. If Governor Sanford won't take the money, then give the legislature the chance to promptly overrule him, but otherwise, President Obama should re-direct the money to another state (I pick Florida). This will send a loud and clear message that South Carolina needs to pick better state officials in the future.

Andrew Jackson had to stand up to South Carolina in his day. So did Lincoln. Now it's time for you to do so too Mr. President.

2. I say to HELL with Sanford... Would hate for the people of SC not to get some relief
by redirecting the money to another state.

4. There are a lot of good folks in SC that would be really hurt by this.
I don't wish them to suffer just to prove a political point.
that's like being just like Sanford. :(

5. I agree.
He needs to tell him and Palin and who-ever-else that it is all or nothing. Take it or leave it--all. This is about stimulating the economy not the next election.

6. Yeah, I think Obama should push this thing and goad the SC governor to fire on Fort Sumter -

the Union could totally whomp the Confederacy these days, what with bunker-buster missiles and such, plus, we certainly learned from Bush that nothing helps Presidential approval ratings better than a war.
