I'm so glad he broached the topic of human rights! To have been a fly on the wall...

Obama talks Sudan, Tibet in meeting with Chinese foreign minister
@ 3:55 pm by Michael O'Brien

President Obama discussed the human rights situations in Tibet and the Sudan during his meeting Thursday with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, the White House announced.

The president brought up the issue of Tibet as the region marks its 50th year of exile for holy leader the Dalai Lama, despite China's insistence that Tibet remain an "autonomous region" within the Chinese political system.

"The President expressed his hope there would be progress in the dialogue between the Chinese government and the Dalai Lama’s representatives," the White House said in a readout of the meeting between the two.

Obama also pressed Yang on the Sudan, where China has continued to do business despite the ongoing genocide and suffering in the African nation.

On that issue the White House was more circumspect: "On Darfur, President Obama expressed his deep concern about the unfolding humanitarian crisis and the Government of Sudan’s decision to expel major humanitarian organizations that had been providing lifesaving assistance to the people of Darfur."

4. Lipton? That'd be fairly annoying, I'd think.
Nah, it's the tea that the 8 rethugs weren't throwing into the harbor while breaking some laws undoubtedly. Hey, you work with what you have. :D
