Steele May Face No Confidence Vote

Republican insiders tell Political Wire that a no confidence vote on RNC Chairman Michael Steele is likely to be called after the NY-20 special election on March 31 -- regardless of whether Republicans win the seat or not.

Katon Dawson, who came in second in the January RNC vote, is said to be quietly organizing a vote and is getting the support of several state party chairmen who want to dump Steele.

12. It greatly pisses me off that the Repubs are dumping everything on Steele

They knew he was clueless and immoral. They knew that no one in the black community would respect him once his shenanigans in MD became national news. And they knew that the racist whites in their party would never accept him.

The only reason this man GOT the damn job was because he was black and they needed brown skin (Steele) to go against other brown skin (Obama). In Repub minds, one brother is as good as the next, never mind what he stands for and how he got to where he is. And the fact that now the entire world knows what only a few million knew before -- that Steele is a total tool with no qualifications for the job -- the Repbus can't wait to dump his @ss by the side of the road.

If this does happen, I hope that a) Steele PUBLICLY humiliates the Repub party by calling them the clueless racists that they are and then becoming an independent; and b) the Repubs catch as much Hell as Steele has for their incredibly simplistic and idiotic view of the world. That every black person is the same; every woman is the same; every immigrant is the same. Steele should not be the scapegoat for the lack of insight, integrity and common sense of his entire party.
