16. They are going line by line through the budget programs,
and have already located 2 trillion dollars expanded over 10 years which are spent in programs that do not work. Stuff like subsidizing giant Agri-Farms, etc...

Edited on Wed Feb-25-09 12:50 PM by hughee99
or a little more than the savings they would find by getting out of Iraq. It sounds bigger when he says "2 trillion in savings over 10 years", though

some crazy digging. I'm certain we'll be saving 5 trillion dollars if not more by the end of this. More money for us. Well at least our debt.

and probably includes the Iraq war expenditures.

Be interesting (to say the least) to have a look at the details.

29. Obama's right about farmers getting big fat checks for doing nothing
There are a few millionaire farmers around here who get six figure checks every year from the government for doing absolutely fucking nothing but filling out some paperwork.

Give him another month and he'll probably find The Stashed Loot from The Bush/Cheney Gang's Great Global Heist of 2008.
No wonder the neocons call him 'incredibly scary'.

Line by line is my favorie thing from his campaign ...and here are the results!

I am sure that there is money just "laying around" and being siphoned off by countless special and coprporate interests... what about the money that's being given to the MSM to keep reporting from the GOP playbook? What about all manner of "programs" that are really nothing more than little stashes for cronies? You don't REALLY think they spend $30K for a hammer? ...$25K for a toilet seat?

Oh...it will be so sweet to see the transparency movement come sweeping through our government and our society. Obama knows that open society is healthy society - and we can HELP one another SO much more when we are not hiding greed and hatred, or making excuses for that kind of bad behavior. He plans to "Call people out" and it will be amazing to watch

My other favorite line from last night was that this is not the time to "govern out of Anger or the Politics of the moment..."

We are in for the ride of our lives, let's all pitch in and get ON with it!
:woohoo:
GOBAMA! Fired UP!
