THINGS YOU CAN DO TO SUPPORT THE JOBS/STIMULUS BILL RIGHT NOW!
OK, we won the f-ing election, the R's only offer the same old same old trickle down for the greedy rich and won't work with Obama and Dems. So first, F-THEM !! (We reached out to them, and they say no, so again, F-THEM!) Next, call/email your Senators if you haven't already. If their voice mail boxes are full, then EMAIL or DO BOTH !! Also, you can call their LOCAL offices, not just their D.C. numbers. Don't forget that. Next, WRITE LETTERS TO THE EDITOR OF YOUR LOCAL PAPERS to support Obama/Dems on this bill. Next, call in to local radio shows to support it. Next, call/email all UNIONS and other progressive interest groups from MoveOn to Democracy For America to add your voice and urge them to lobby like hell in the media and in D.C. Next, call/email ANY organization that stands to benefit from the Jobs/Stimulus bill to urge them to lobby like hell. Next, call/write the DNC, your state Dem party, and your local Dem party affiliates to LOBBY FOR THE OBAMA JOBS BILL in the media and in D.C. So far I have emailed my Senators, emailed my state party, and called and left a message for one Senator whose voice mail box was not quite full. I also plan to contact my educational union to urge them to lobby for it. SO GET OUT THERE AND HELP OUR AWESOME NEW PRESIDENT AND DEMS IN CONGRESS TO MAKE THE CHANGE WE VOTED FOR IN NOVEMBER !! Thanks !!

Text of my email to my Senators:

"Dear Senators Snowe/Collins (From Maine):

I urge you to support the Jobs/Economic Stimulus Bill as essentially sponsored and promoted by President Obama. In November the American people voted overwhelmingly for change; for a new direction. We are in the midst of a huge economic crisis. Trickle-down and half-measures won't work. We need a bold plan to shore up the economy in the short term, and to create a new and better economy for the future. A big, bold response is needed, and it is needed RIGHT NOW !! The country may well tailspin into a great depression if we don't move now in a big, bold way to make the investments needed for FUTURE success. We MUST address jobs, healthcare, and energy for the long term, not only tax cuts and spending incentives in the short term. It is all connected. It is all vital. Now is the time. Now is the chance. SUPPORT THE OBAMA JOBS/STIMULUS BILL ! Thank You."

1. Not much point to me doing that, I must admit.
I know Brown will vote for it as sure as I know my own name, and Voinovich won't but he doesn't give a damn what I have to say about it because he's quitting after this anyway. *sigh*

3. I just found out that Burr(R) will be voting no and newly appointed Hagan(D) is

undecided. I guess the both of them haven't been paying much attention to the election results, especially surprising is Hagan. The voters voted ENOUGH when we kicked Liddy Dole's ass out of the seat.

Guess I should burn up the phone lines some more especially to Sen. Hagan. Maybe she needs more reminding of how and why she got where she is today.

grrrr.............
