and others in Alaska with great sadness and growing anger. Sadly, those suffering are not 'mainstream' enough for the media to care. The same has happened in Canada regarding tragedies occurring among First Nations and, indeed, tragedies happening on reservations in the United States. There is one common denominator in the lack of coverage by the national media and that is the make-up of their genealogy, if you will.

Yes, in blunt terms, it is a disgraceful show of bigotry and discrimination by the media, imo.

And, I think the fact that she was so much in the limelight (and not in a good way) is probably opening many eyes in Alaska as to her true character and qualifications.

What I would really like to see is for her to make a 2012 run. We won't have to worry about Obama exposing anything about her. Her own party will do this for him. And, I suspect, with a vengence.

I know people Outside are just sick to death of hearing about Alaska, thanks to our "governor" who presented us in such a bad light, but this might finally be the issue that sinks her boat if it's ever fully reported. All the other stuff -- the maternity issues, the drop-out unwed kids, the drug-selling grandma, the media whorishness, on and on and on -- is just gossip, but her disregard for the first people of her state is inexcusable and must be exposed.

People saying they deserve this fate because they chose to live in a "nice village" instead of the city, and they don't pay the same taxes as the city folks do. The former GOP vice presidential candidate has apparently enlisted the help of superstar Washington attorney Robert Barnett, who has brokered book deals for such political A-listers as President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Additionally, he has handled TV deals for a lot of top anchors and reporters such as Brian Williams, Lesley Stahl, Neil Cavuto, Christiane Amanpour and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

While not an immediate option, TV news is considered an intriguing possible future career path for the telegenic Palin.
