I really think it is. You have Tice with his assertion that we were all monitored, in contrast to what we have been told. Seymour Hersh says he has whistleblowers in the wings. There is still horrific stuff that has been hinted about in Abu Grahaib that has not been made public. That military justice person has flatly stated that we tortured in Guantanamo. There is crap still to be revealed about the Justice Department, Abramoff, election fraud, etc. that will probably start crawling into the sunlight.

Obama's challenge will be to responsibly deal with these issues while still leading towards systems and policies that move us away from this moral and economic morass we find ourselves in.

My best advice would be for him to put a person of strength and integrity in the Justice Department, as Holder seems to be. (At least Holder had the balls not to try to weenie out and wiggle away from a simple question like "is waterboarding torture" like everyone else has. Yes, it is torture. We have found it to be torture within our own justice systems and have executed people for doing it). Then, let that person follow wherever the investigative trails lead. If people ask Obama should we pursue particular people for particular crimes, he should just say it's within the systems of justice and it is inappropriate for me to attempt to sway it in one direction or another. He should just stay policy and forward focused.

2. Yes. I remember about a month ago, Seymour Hersh saying that he had a line of administration
insiders waiting to talk to him after January 20th.

I think the public is going to be absolutely shocked by what was going on. We on DU will probably be less surprised because we have been following many stories that haven't received time on mainstream media.

I can't wait for the truth to start spilling out.

3. I think th GOP trying to airbrush is sugarcoat Bushes legacy will become moot
I find it hard to believe historians won't recognize the Bush Administration as one of the most corrupt in U.S. history.

4. It is about to blow
The pressure is huge. It is unstoppable.

Now what is done with the lava is what matters. How is it directed and what, or rather, who, will it burn?

Bush, if he burns, is inconsequential. A Cheney burning would be a warm and welcome sight, but he's been stripped of power. Those remaining in power are the congressmen who sat back and watched the corruption build. Having their sorry asses cooked, charred and burned to a crisp would make a difference.

In any good cooking fire, preparation is key. You don't want it to go out to soon, or be easily extinguishable. It takes some time to build a good fire, but we do have plenty of fuel at hand, eh?
