Congratulations Sec. of State Clinton
It appears no one is voting against her (at least not yet) so I feel comfortable jumping the gun on this. I didn't like a lot of what she did during the primaries but since the nomination she has been outstanding. Good luck to her in her new position, I think she'll be great.

13. He's got a big target on him
and his vote today was just to placate his religiously insane supporters in Louisiana. His 2010 reelection bid should be the greatest show on earth for several months. The D's want his seat and want to get Jefferson's New Orleans seat back.

5. I'll second that.
She is well suited to the role, I think she'll do very well, and better than most who came before her.

34. Of course, it's the best way
You educate the children and empower the women, and you change the dynamics of a country. That's what Obama's mother was doing with her micro-loan programs.

19. According to today's NY Times, Paterson made up his mind...
but will wait to get back to Albany to sleep on it for another night or two and see if it still sounds good outside of DC.

He promises to announce the choice by Saturday at the latest.
