My letter to Dan Rather
To whom it may concern:

I am grateful that your news organization has the
courage to broadcast the story about the Presidents
service in the Texas Air National Guard.

As a veteran I know that if I had decided to ignore
the direct order of a superior that I would definitely
not gotten off so lightly. I think that this story
goes to the heart of the matter. It speaks of the
character of our President. My grandfather served in
World War II, my Father served in Vietnam, and I
served in the Gulf War and Somalia. We served because
we loved our country and we cherished the freedoms
that service represented. None of us were great heros
but rather we did what millions of men and women have
done throughout the great history of this nation. We
sacrificed our time to preserve our democracy. I
served so that news organizations like yours could
question our democracy. To maintain that precious
balance between democracy and tyranny. If we lose
that balance I feel that the country that I love will
slide into tyranny. Once again thanks for your
courage.

4. Great letter. It helps to put in "Subject:" Good Job Dan or Dan is a hero"
because they are getting so much hate mail from the freepers they only seem to be acknowledging or reading ones that appear to be positive.

I wrote my letter too, saying "Dan is Heroic" and got an answer and a couple of other people say they had hero in the subject matter and got an answer too.

Right now Novak on Crossfire is attacking Dan Rather...is that unbelievable?

Here's looking forward to

5. you can EMAIL Dan Rather at " [email protected] "
he's being attacked by the corporate owned stations, msnbc, cnn...
and getting lots of hate mail.

CBS needs to know they have support so they wont cave in again like
they did with the anti-bush movie.

They need to know we're out here supporting freedom of speech,,,
and unless we match the hate mail writers with love mail...they wont know it.

Thanks for listening.
