Trucks, Tedeschi to play for Obama

It'll be after the inauguration that the real partying begins.


At the National Guard Armory in Washington, in the shadow of RFK Stadium, the Southern states have their own Southern Inaugural Ball, one of nine official balls that night.


And providing the entertainment will be two musicians from Jacksonville: Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi.


"We were supposed to be at the Mid-Atlantic Ball with the Grateful Dead," Tedeschi said Friday afternoon, "but we had too much equipment for one stage."


If you ever get a chance to see these two, don't pass it up.

Susan has a beautiful voice and Derek smokes the guitar.

I saw them Dec. 27th here in Jacksonville. Good Times.

My son is a HUGE Derek Trucks fan. Derek's uncle was one of the founding members of the Allman Brothers Band.
