Outraged and pissed does not describe this poster. Cali is typically respectful and thoughtful - much more so than many, if not most other DUers.

There has been more than enough to find fault with these days at DU. That Cali has responded to it is not an indictment of herself as much as it is an indictment of the state of affairs on this site.

Now, none of these statements are a big deal, and I even agreed with a couple. But don't try to pass it off as "respectful and thoughtful". There are way too many examples of cali being just the opposite, as there would be of me if someone tried to say the same thing about me.

However, I could easily argue that the posts being replied to hardly merited respectful or thoughtful feedback. Obama becoming an independent? Obama being part of the "elites"? "Deb Dear" who threatened to start a third party in response to Obama's actions? And a response to someone saying that one of our most reliable and liberal stalwarts doesn't have "descended testicles"? Saint Theresa would've had a hard time being respectful to some of those.

I'm not disputing that Cali wasn't exactly respectful there, but really... does every last comment really deserve respect, especially the ones you cited?

cali is pretty well known here, for good or ill. Sometimes there are thoughtful and respectful posts. A lot of times there isn't. And those times aren't always as deserved as the examples above.
