Obama, Biden To Visit Supreme Court
CBS) President-elect Barack Obama will visit the Supreme Court tomorrow, according to his transition office, reports CBS News correspondent Steve Chaggaris.

At the invitation of Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., Mr. Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden will pay a protocol visit to the Supreme Court of the United States Wednesday afternoon, the office says.

This will mark the third time in recent history a president-elect and vice resident-elect have visited the court. The last such visit was made by Bill Clinton and Al Gore on Dec. 8, 1992.

On Nov. 19, 1980, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush made the same visit.

Mr. Obama and Biden will visit with the justices in the ceremonial West Conference Room where they will sign the same guest book signed by Clinton and Gore in 1992.

Following the signing of the guest book, the president-elect and vice President-elect will join the justices on a brief tour of the courtroom and the justices’ conference room, where the justices meet to to decide pending cases.

The visit is private; reporters and photographers will not be present.http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/01/13/national/inauguration09/main4720001.shtml

Too bad no pics. I would love to see the inside of the court with Barack and Joe in it! Shrub and Cheney never went...they think they are above to law anyways.

4. Well, considering that the Supreme Court gave Georgie the presidency

what can they say? I will be so glad when Obama appoints some new justices in the next few years. I know maybe one or two will retire, unfortunately I don't think they are conservative ones. Stevens, Ginsburg, and Souter, all moderate to liberal. When will we ever be rid of Scalia, I detest him the most.
Oh, and poor Joe, he was in Iraq and now has to fly back and get ready to go to the Supreme Court. Such is the life of the VP or Prez. Gotta like flying, of which I have only done so twice.

7. Oh yeah, forgot about that. They think Obama gonna slip his fake birth
certificate to the Justices and say this needs to be taken care of and Joe is gonna threaten to beat the hell out of them or else? LOL. They crack me up.

5. The crazy birth certificate crowd will freak

This will fuel myriads of conspiracy theories. Of course they can rationalize everything to spin it so that they have hope. They will say that the SCOTUS is just lulling Obama to sleep before they rule him ineligible on Friday.
