Good Lord... Cheney's gone (the rest of the way) nuts

I fear the current "lunatic Cheney" is a brilliant innovation. By saying the most disgusting things possible they get a lot of TV coverage of the controversial outburst, thereby pounding their original hate message into everyone's reptile brain while pretending to disavow it. This is Cheney commenting on Beslan school massacre:

Some foreign countries have probably been thinking that "if they kept their heads down," their citizens would not suffer terrorist attacks, the vice president said. "Well, Russia got his anyway," he said. As a result, Mr. Cheney said, "people are reassessing now" whether they should shed their ambivalence and openly support Mr. Bush's policies.
