Do I care if Caroline Kennedy Gets Hillary's seat?
Not really.

I understand both sides, the pros (she's smart, accomplished, a woman, etc.) and cons (she's untested, getting preferential treatment, etc.) and I think both sides have valid points. But all 'n all, whether she gets the seat or not, I don't think it's going to have much of an effect on the daily lives of most people.

What I do care about is how with each passing day we are going deeper and deeper into recession, Bush is using his last days to sabotage the country as much as he can, the Repukes are trying to bust the unions, etc..

JMO.

2. I agree with you. I am ambivalent at best over...
the whole brouhaha. If she gets the appointment, she'll be there two short years before she's up for election. A short time, but long enough to prove that she was a worthy choice or not so much. That will be up to the good citizens of NY to decide. One thing I know for sure, she'll vote with dems on major issues and that's all anybody wants from a two year appointee at this point.

I also agree with you that we are facing grave times in this country and our newly elected president and all the dems in congress will have their work cut out for them. Yes, there are bigger fish to fry instead of all this angst over a two year senate appointment.

Nice post.
