3. I am listening to that right now
John Yang on MSNBC - saying that Brennan did not want to cause problems, took his name out of consideration.

5. Writing to Change.gov seems to work.
There was some negativity on the blogs about it, but the liberal blogs weren't going "Nuts" as MSNBC is putting it....

13. Yeah, the Warren Commission of the 21st century.
Except the Warren Commission at least made an attempt, pathetic as it was, to investigate the crime.

7. AP article:

Brennan out of running for top intel post

WASHINGTON – John Brennan, President-elect Barack Obama's top adviser on intelligence, has taken his name out of the running for any intelligence position in the new administration.

In a letter Tuesday, Brennan wrote letter to Obama that he did not want to be a distraction. His potential appointment has raised a firestorm in liberal blogs who associate him with the Bush administration's interrogation, detention and rendition policies.

"The fact that I was not involved in the decisionmaking process for any of these controversial policies and actions has been ignored," he wrote, in a letter obtained by The Associated Press.

21. The problem with that statement is that even I remember him defending
torture on the cable channels. Was he not involved in his own appearances, too?

11. Bob Graham and Richard Clarke, I hope are under consideration to lead intelligence.
We have got to clean out and rebuild our intelligence organization. It has been deeply corrupted over decades, just as our DOJ has in merely the past eight years.

I've been trying to stay optimistic and trusting about these appointments, but the idea of giving the CIA to Brennan really set my teeth on edge.

28. But, but...
To accomplish this, people had to act mean like those bad protesters in the 60s!

Shouldn't we have just hoped that Brennan would be an awesome member of the Team of Rivals?
