My, my..the elves have been busy.....
First, the claims that the released memos were forgeries hit the web before 60 Minutes even got off the air. Then the Daughter of the guy who got Bush into the guard comes out and says her father is lying. Then the son of the Officer who signed the memos comes on Faux and says they're obviously a fake because his father thought Dubya was a good officer (even though his Father died in '82 and hasn't refreshed his memory in 22 years). Now the General who confirmed the memos for CBS says CBS "mislead him".

The Republican elves have been very, very busy lately. It must have taken a tremendous amount of effort to line those ducks up so fast.

7. Phooey
The powers that be would NEVER do such athing.
No matter WHAt was at stake.
All that happened is that
some concerned citizens made a few enticing offers
that certain individuals freely decided to accept.

how much effort does it take to offer jobs, perks, etc. when you have a "war chest" as big as Bush's?

Besides, if the tree is leaning in the right direction, it doesn't take much of a push to get it to fall the way you want it to.

5. yep....the first thing that entered my mind on seeing this thread was
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

can you imagine the amount being spent behind the scenes?

money on private eyes, like the ones swiftliars used on Kerry supporting crewmembers, for example?

on offers like you mentioned?

the expenses supporting such efforts: transportation, phones, meals, lodging, hookers, dope, etc
