PHOTOS - Just two! The crying supporter...I found the follow-up, sweet.

Okay, some of you will have realised by now, based on my 9,368 photo threads (:blush:) that I'm a photo obsessive, especially when they're pictures of Barack Obama, the most photogenic man on planet earth :toast:

During the campaign one image, of a supporter listening to a speech by Obama at the Nissan Pavillion in Bristow, Virginia, touched me more than most, this one:





I just think it's a stunningly beautiful and powerful image, there's everything in there, hope, pain, love, hurt, belief, the lot.


It was only tonight that I found this photo, taken at the end of the rally - it's joyous:





No, no, no - I'm not saying Obama's the Messiah after all :-) I just think his response to the supporter is beautiful and tender, it says so much about him. Love it. And I love him!

....that I'm not going to see a great deal of the glorious action on January 20, I hear one or two other people intend joining me in Washington - :-) - but what the heck, I just want the joy of breathing in the same air as the new President on that beautiful day.

They are truly emotional. I wanted to compile a collection of these photos and make them into a coffee table book. I have to look into the copyright issues associated with publishing these photos. I know a lot of people are going to be doing this.

past several days have been single-handedly guarding the spirit of DU and continue to remind us that we've got a lot of reasons to relax, be happy and watch the change happen that we all voted for....

some of the thing I've been reading on here, the infighting, is just downright depressing.
We waited and hoped and worked to put an end to these last eight disastorous years and I feel with the exception of you and a handful of others, people are just looking for reasons to complain.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to search out, organize and post all of these lovely pics.
