Anyone want to join me in a chorus of the following.....
FUCK THE DLC!!!!!!!

:wtf: is Obama doing pandering to the Clintons and their supporters?

Where's the change that *I* can believe in? It sure as fuck isn't with the pro-corporate DLC!!!

Come on, Barack! Show us what you're made of! Show us that change you preached about for months!!

4. People that worked for Clinton? Daschle? Gephardt? Three worthless has-beens?
great.

:eyes:

Sorry, but the DLC is a BIG part of the problem. And Hillary's incredible pro-Israel bias is damn near neocon in nature.

11. And Gephardt - damnit he worked with Ronald Reagan too!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Gephardt

:sarcasm:

Perhaps Obama wants to bring in people who have the knowledge so he can build a strong team. And Dashcle was on the Obama team since the very beginning.

15. Daschle is a washed-up has-been. Remember that phone call between Gore/Daschle/Gephart in 2000?
what a pathetic scene that was.

Where is the CHANGE?

Where are the non-lobbyists? The non-sucking-up-to-special interests people???

And I have no problem with what he has done so far - he's not perfect but then I remind myself what I had these last 8 years.

20. Did you read the link? Obama wants experienced people around
him, UNLIKE Clinton had, to get things done. People who have been there/done that.

Obama will be setting the policy. All these knee-jerk reactions are ridiculous.

31. When was the last time a Dem had power? That would be Clinton.

Try thinking. The only pool of experienced Dems left is from Clinton's admin unless you want to totally strip Congress, or want to hire rethugs.

38. Don't you get it? That's what Carter and Clinton depended on, and
even Bush, their homies. It didn't work out well because the local pols were not well-versed in politics at the DC level. If I find an article, and I've seen them, that explains all this, I'll zing it to you.

Term limits would be good, imo.

then maybe Reps/Senators would focus on doing their work instead of focusing on fundraising and campaigning.

27. Daschle is the one who convinced Obama to run now, instead of waiting until he had a Senate
record to defend. So, we probably have Daschle to thank that Obama is President Elect. Don't know about Gephardt. But, who is experienced in working for a President and a Democrat who has not worked for clinton? The Carter people are a bit long in the tooth now.

7. yeah, I mean Hillary only worked her ass off to united this team after the conventions
and bring her 18 million voters in with the rest of us. Gee, Obama only one by 8.5million which means if we lost even half of those votes we could have been screwn (ok mind you there's alot of funky math with the EV stuff but you get my drift).

I voted for Obama because I trust him and if Hillary is the right person for the job (and she wants it) then so be it. CLintons still have a great deal of respect overseas and Hillary is someone who could not only do this job but have a strong connection with our allies in bringing them back into our fold.

23. Ever stop to think he knew that if he'd picked her he'd have lost the undecideds/moderate Republican
The anti-hillary vote plus the conservative base plus the lack of youth support probably would have spelled victory for McCain.

30. C'mon folks. There is absolute no need for Obama to pander to the center.
At least not this much.

People in this country want a hard left turn.

Like Mr. Miyagi said...

“Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later get squish just like grape.”

Barack, if he continues to stay "in the center" will be squished just like a grape.

34. Exactly! Bill caved to the GOP Congress and we got NAFTA, DMCA, etc. and no Universal Healthcare.
Bush never pandered to the Dems or compromised in the last 2 years and he's gotten everything he wanted, including continuing to spy on us domestically and continuing to operate Gitmo in a legal vacuum.

If we don't clear the detritus from the gov't NOW we never will!!
