We do a disservice to Obama and this country when we do not speak out.

Obama is receiving tremendous pressure to resist change and go with the status quo. In order for him to push his change agenda, he needs us to speak out and push back when they try to maintain the status quo. FDR needed THE PEOPLE to push through his agenda. He could not have done it without them.

Larry Summers is a horrible pick for Treasury Secretary. He pushed for deregulation (the repeal of Glass-Steagall) which is the MAJOR reason for the financial collapse we are faced with today. A financial collapse which is far from over. He pushed free trade which is leading to an economic collapse and worldwide worker exploitation and environmental devastation. He advocated dumping toxic waste in Africa.

He is neither qualified or a man of acceptable character to be the next Treasury Secretary. There are those who are pushing Obama to pick this man. We need to push back.

Obama said we are the ones we have been waiting for. The power players ridicule this notion. The people did not let FDR down. Will we let Obama down? He cannot be the FDR of our generation without our help. One man cannot change this country. The vote we cast was only the beginning.

As far as those trying to paint Obama as Clinton without the drama. I do not agree. They'd like us to get discouraged and tune out so we don't see what we should see going on in Washington DC. I think Obama is an inherently decent man and will change this country and the world for the better with our help.
