The other day while going through a drawer, I found a political button. It said

The other day while going through a drawer, I found a political button. It said
"Proud of my Country--Ashamed of my Government." It was one of those I wore in the time of the Iraq war protests.

I thought, "Wow, this button is now of historical interest only," and then I was overwhelmed by a sense of gratitude, relief, hope--you know, all those emotions that have een coming alive again in the past two weeks. Migod, it's only been TWO WEEKS since that button has become irrelevant!
