Palin steals one of Obama's lines
From the New York Times today:

Ms. Palin used the term “Sarah-centric” to describe her campaign rallies, arguing that fans were responding to her more as a symbol than as a person. “But not me personally were those cheers for,” she said to Ms. Van Susteren in an interview shown Monday night on Fox News. “But it was just for the representation of a woman on the ticket, a mom, somebody who loves this country so much, somebody very, very committed to policies that I believe will progress this country in the right direction.”

I imagine she hopes the idea works out better for her than it did for Obama.

For those who might have missed it or don't remember, the right called Obama arrogant for the "I have just become a symbol" line... which had been removed from its context. The full Obama quote:

It has become increasingly clear in my travel, the campaign, that the crowds, the enthusiasm, 200,000 people in Berlin, is not about me at all. It's about America. I have just become a symbol...

(The removal from context was made more misleading through the reading of the word "just" as to mean "recently" rather than "merely.")

1. She really is a symbol: one of everything that is wrong with the Republicans.
Religious, ignorant, hate inciting, war mongering, and frankly downright stupid.

11. Yoda made sense even if his sentence structure was irregular.
Palin is more like this:

15. more Yoda talk
Yes, she often says things backwards. Another one just today at CNN...

"And to attribute I think that interview to any kind of negativity in the campaign or a downfall in the campaign, I think it's ridiculous."

Apart from the usual little insertions she does, she again says something backwards... She says essentially, "to attribute that interview to any kind of negativity in the campaign is ridiculous" when what she means is, "to attribute any kind of negativity in the campaign to that interview is ridiculous."

She does that a lot, and it's part of what makes her thoughts hard to follow.

4. Sheesh she is a frightening fanatic
I have come to the conclusion that she is a dangerous phenomena. She lies through her teeth and uses her religiosity to cover her a**. Plus she is a warmonger.

I'm afraid she makes George Bush look compassionate and intelligent. I do hope the GOP has grown up enough to know that you just can't stuff this junk down our throats anymore but I'm doubtful.

But I bet you that she's the dog that Rove has in this upcoming GOP fight. After all, Palin probably speaks his language--which is what the upper class, wealthy conservative snobs abhor.

It obviously isn't English. It isn't even freepish.

“But not me personally were those cheers for,”
