4. That's a weird choice
If she was afraid of Obama turning the U.S. into a socialist country, she has a surprise coming when she gets to England.

9. Exactly, as I'm dual nationality
And Liverpool is, politically I'd say a Socialist city, Socialism is very strong there.

I can't think of where in Britain an anti-Obama person might fit in, unless you say the BNP areas of the Midlands such as Bradford etc....the BNP areas would be STRONGLY anti-Obama obviously.

Even the Conservative Party are happy that it's President Obama.

15. Bradford
Isn't in the Midlands, it's in Yorkshire but it does have a large immigrant (Indian/Pakistani) population. So, like Burnley, Oldham, and other northern mill towns it is a target for the BNP.

I always thought Bradford was Midlands, I stand corrected.

The only places in Britain that an anti-Obama person would fit in, would be in the BNP voting areas, Bradford is one of them, as are the ones you mentioned Burnley and Oldham.

Anti-Obama people would fit in places like the Isle of Dogs/Tower Hamlets, another BNP area, if I recall they elected the very first BNP POS in Derek Beacon, in the early 1990s.

The Republican Party are now so Extreme Right-Wing that their nearest British counterpart would now have to be the BNP....the majority of this Republican Party would be rejected by David Cameron's Conservative Party....the McCain/Palin campaign was an OPENLY racist and bigoted campaign....David Cameron would have spat on them.

The BNP, anti-immigrant, anti-anyone who isn't white and Christian, anti-gays....the BNP and the BNP platform is what the Republican Party have basically become:

5. I doubt whether she'll find many people in Liverpool share her politics
Rather a bizarre choice of city for a Right-Winger I'd say....difficult to say what would constitute a predominately Right-Wing British city, the Right-Wingers tend to fair best in rural areas of Britain.

14. Liverpool?
I don't think she'll find too many soulmates there. Very Labour there (and home to the Beatles!)

Stockbroker-belt areas like Eshire might be more congenial to her; though I don't she'd find many Bush fans anywhere in the UK.

24. Republicans' myopic world view has led them to believe
that when the rest of the west has conservatives that they are at all in line with their Reich wing ideology. That's what happens when you are so far to the fringes that you can no longer see the middle.

Stupid buggers.

28. To Liverpool??? Hmmm...
Let us think who governs that area:

Liverpool City Council. 48 Liberal Democrats, 35 Labour, 3 Liberal, 1 Green and 1 Independent. No conservatives.

Liverpool has 5 Members of Parliament, 4 of which are officially connected to Labour, the 5th was a member of the Labour Party but resigned cos of the Iraq War 2 - was a member of a socialist group. Again, no conservatives.

The only conservative representation anyone would have in Liverpool would be in the European Parliament, and that's because members are elected based on a wide region and balanced proportionately.

Plus the UK is officially in a recession, she's moving into an area that still needs a fair bit of urban regeneration going, and with an unemployment problem (last I heard unemployment was at over 11%).

If she wanted to move to England that's OK, and Liverpool's probably a nice enough place (never been there) but if it's a concern about Obamas' landslide victory, she needs to go to Austria.

Mark.

You know, one of those frontiers of Freedumb, where pesky government rules, high taxes and jack-booted environmental regulations won't cramp her entrepreneurial style?

Just asking . . .

Most of England like Obama but there were those who are thatcherites that were keen on Hillary. Obama has about 60-70 percent popularity rate in the UK. One thing is for certain she will find virtually zero Republican support in England. There is no where Republicans can hide form Obama mania it's a global phenomenon.

We just want socialized medicine, they already have it. She needs to find a really oppressed country that hates Obama and provides nothing for its citizens. That's the Republican philosophy.

Obviously the one subject in school she failed was either World History or Political Science.
She's probably running there because Obama's black, not because of his policies.

It's gonna be an interesting 4 years, that's for sure.
